Description
Your 100 day mentoring programme as an entrepreneur
This entrepreneur mentoring programme is to help you become aware of your strength, what you love doing and what you are good at; thus identify who you should surround yourself with for your success and that of the organisation you created.
Our entrepreneur mentoring programme incorporates learning. Entrepreneurs need to acquire a solid understanding of the value of good governance. Governance in the 21st Century has become essential but highly complex; it requires a multitude of strengths and skills that are unlikely to be found in a single person.
The core of mentoring consists of one-on-one sessions, which are intensive and personalised. The initial phase is an in-depth evaluation of the needs and wants of the mentee. This is followed by clear goal setting (what is expected to be achieved through mentoring). Goals must be stretching but achievable, measurable and relevant. During the sessions, acute listening and creative questioning aim at helping the mentees find a response to their own challenges. Each mentee is unique and the programme is tailored to the specific needs of the mentee and, where applicable, of the organisation.
The sessions take place in virtually and can be done either in English or in French.
About the consultant
Patrice LASSERRE
Being a Chartered Director and having served on the Boards of various organisations for more than 25 years give me extensive knowledge and experience in Corporate Governance and in the functioning of Boards of Directors.
I lived in 6 different countries and have done business in 45 around the world.
In 2010, I created Board Whisperer, a private practice focusing on making younger leaders board-ready, forming professional Boards, assisting start-ups and boosting the performance of Governing Bodies.
This is my 4th career after having been engineer/analyst, CEO specialising in turnarounds and entrepreneur creating an innovative telco.
Why is this Important
Of 100 organisations created today, only 4% will still be there to celebrate their 10th anniversary. We can help you be in that most select group. Entrepreneurs are by definition very good at what they do; but experience has shown that most entrepreneurs are better at starting than growing and maintaining.
Burnout is not uncommon with entrepreneurs. They often have an acute need to recharge their batteries and, in a fast-pace life, find “me time”. And what better way than having access to an independent, objective and experienced sounding board – away from the strain of business?
What makes great leaders is their choice of associates and how far they invest in their own growth.
Mentoring is a great tool to keep you focused, help you become aware of your strength, what you love doing and what you are good at; thus identify who you should surround yourself with for your success and that of the organisation you created.
